Dawnkit and Duskkit fought playfully for a while in the nursery, but ended up getting bored of it. "Can we play outside, Midnightstar?" Dawnkit asked, looking up at her mother.
"Yes, of course. You need the air." Midnightstar answered drowsily. She'd been trying to take a nap for quite some time, but her kits' tumbling around and noises made that seem like an impossible feat.
"Yay! Let's go, Duskkit!" Dawnkit mewed, racing her brother out of the nursery. Dawnkit stopped dead. "Now what?" She looked back at her brother and tipped her head to the side in question.
Duskkit shrugged, "I don't know..." He brought his voice up to a yowl, "Any warrior or apprentice want to play with us?"

It made the earth most uncomfortable and cold – two sensations that he did not prefer. After spending the morn solely in the warriors’ den, he felt the urge to stretch himself and get to work on something. As he passed by the nursery he noticed Midnightstar’s kittens. It was odd for a leader to have kittens, but he didn’t dare judge; in fact, he found Midnightstar’s kin quite amusing at times. He watched the two young cats escape the nursery and head into camp, quite dumbfounded as they weren’t sure what to do. A glimmer shinned in Catnipcloud’s golden eyes.
“Well, what do you think you’re doing out of the nursery?” he meowed to them nonchalantly, acting high and mighty. However, a glimmer of a smirk was visible on his lips. He quite enjoyed when the two of them left the nursery and went galloping around camp. It certainly brightened things up more.

Dawnkit jumped at the sound of a voice. Her brother mrrowed in amusement in her shock. She turned to the source of the voice and said, "Oh, hi Catnipcloud!" Dawnkit thought the warrior was one of the nicer, cooler of all the warriors in ThunderClan. Of course, she didn't think there was any cat that could match how rude and cruel Burningpaw was. She ignored the thought of the mean apprentice and asked, "Would you like to play a game?"
"Well," Duskkit began. "Midnightstar said we could leave the nursery. So we got out and didn't know what to do." He answered the tom's question, gray long-haired tail flicking contentedly. When his sister went on about what she was doing, he was usually the one to end up answering another cat's question. He figured she never noticed that- only what she was doing. Self-centered and absent-minded... That's Dawnkit for ya. Out of the two littermates, Duskkit was definitely the thinker and more intelligent cat.

Badgertail rose from his nest and shook his pelt. The air was cold and snow was beginning to fall. He stepped outside and saw Thunderclan's newest kits bounding out of the camp. Badgerstar had little opinion of the kits, them being around made Midnightstar in the nursery most of the time. He wondered from time to time if it would cause her loyalties to be divided between her clan and her kits. Her decision was her own, that he knew, and he would stand beside his leaders choice, for better or worse. He did like the kits though, especially Duskkit. Privatly he hoped Midnight would let him be his apprentice one day, but he didn't feel that it was appropriate for him to ask her directly.
"What can you do?" Badgertail said inserting himself in their conversation from several legths away. His claws scraped a small patch of moss from a stick, rolling it into a ball as he did, "I can tell you what you can do. Catch!" He tossed the ball towards the kits.

Fleetingthunder made his way towards the cats, his green eyes looking at them. Perhaps the tom's calm attitude kept him from being angry at the kits, or simply because his den had not been occupied by cats wanting 'this and that', so to speak. Besides, his 'apprentice' hadn't been seen in a very long time, and the medicine cat was worried about Crimsonpaw. Perhaps fate had befallen her, similar to Doveflight's own fate, his own mentor.
"Excuse me, I don't believe Midnightstar would allow kits of your age to go anywhere outside the nursery. Besides, it is getting dark and cold. I don't want to have you two in my den because you've caught kittencough," The tom chuckled, "At least, tell Midnightstar that I warned you."
