» ♀ Jadestar RiverClan Leader dark grey cat; emerald eyes »
The grey she-cat bounded up on Tallstone, calling out to her Clan: All cats old enough to catch their own fish, gather beneath this rock for an announcement
! After cats began to show interest and emerge from their dens and whereabouts, Jadestar collected her thoughts. There weren't many announcements, but there were a few the she-cat felt she should get out of the way. Her emerald eyes glazed over for a moment before she sprung from her contemplation. Staring at the cats gathered around her, she began: "I have some important news I'd like to share with all of you. First and foremost, if you haven't heard already, Tawnywing and Havenheart have found two stray kits near the Stepping Stones. They appear to be from loner parents who have abandoned them. I have decided to take in these kits, named Goldenkit and Sourkit, and I hope you will all help me in raising them to be loyal RiverClan cats.
'Secondly, I have ceremony to do. Wolfkit, if you'd please step forward."The she-cat's eyes softened as she waited for the apprentice to come forward. "Wolfkit, from this day forth you shall be known as Wolfpaw, apprentice of RiverClan. Your mentor will be Stonybrook, our brave deputy. May StarClan watch over you all."After finishing the announcement and allowing them to touch noses, Jadestar concluded the meeting. "That is all I have to share with you this evening. May StarClan bless you all," she meowed, bowing her head as she leapt off the tall rock to join the clearing. OOC| I figured I should make some announcements so everyone knows about the kits. Also, I only did Wolf's ceremony because Blossom and Cherry have been apprentices for a while now and know their mentors.[/blockquote]

» ♀ Gentleheart RiverClan Warrior grey-and-white patched; leaf-green eyes »
Jadestar's sister appeared before the tall stone, her pale green eyes glimmering up at the leader. Gentleheart's grey-and-white fur shifted as she rested near the other Clan cats, listening intently to her leader's messages. Her eyes went slightly wide at the mentioning of kits being found, worry clouding her vision slightly. She was alike Jadestar in several ways, and worrying was one of them; she understood the burden of caring for kits, but as Jadestar knew, the burden of caring for stray kits was much worse. Had the mother come back to claim her kin, Gentleheart wouldn't know the outcome. She shook these thoughts from her mind and sent up a meow, acknowledging Goldenkit and Sourkit into the Clan. She also bowed her head at Wolfpaw, sending him a smile at becoming Stonybrook's apprentice.

She'd had one heck of a day - finding her apprentice and her sister in loner lands (thankfully Havenheart was around) as well as being chased by a pup. The feisty she-cat felt very flustered this day, and all she wished to do was eat a mouse and calm down. At the murmur of Jadestar's voice, she knew she couldn't. As if on cue to disturb her day further, she heard joyous news of stray kits being taken into the Clan, by her sister Tawnywing. She didn't mind that Havenheart had helped - she quite liked Havenheart, especially after their encounter with the wild pup near the farm. But Tawnywing made her blood uneasy. First she took her mentor, had to fall in love with him (which was so not allowed to Dappledcoat), then she had to continue being a sweet little cat and find wild kits to care for? Oh, how the Clan adored Tawnywing and how Dappledcoat wish she'd choke on a rat's tail.
Deep down, Dappledcoat would never truly hate her beloved sister, but her eyes showed a strong emotion. She had never disliked her sister, but only envied her so deeply that the emotions could be mistaken for distaste and hatred. In her eyes, Tawnywing had everything that Dappledcoat had ever desired, and it pained her to see it.
The she-cat shifted such dark thoughts from her mind and stared forward as Wolfpaw was being named. She bowed her head slightly, she wasn't one for howling at apprentices. Her eyes seemed to have new life in them once more. After all, she had one thing Tawnywing didn't have - an apprentice! Her eyes glanced over the clearing, searching for Blossompaw.

Havenhearts eyes shone as she settled the little golden kits body down next to the warm belly of the she-cat as purrs arose from cats coming around to see the new arrivals. Licking Goldenkit, Havenheart looked up and dipped her head at Wolfpaw half-heartedly, Havenheart wasn't in the best mood to celebrate and, picking up Goldenkit, padded over to Dappledcoat, "How are you Dappledcoat?" The she-cat kindly said. "Would you like to see Goldenkit?" nudging the tiny kit forward with a small squeel. Havenheart licked and shushed the kit. "Thanks for saving my tail, i never got the chance to say thank you." The she-cat licked Dappledcoats fur once and got up, with Goldenkit to put this sleepy one into the nursery. ' Phew' Havenheart needed a rest. As she curled up around the kit and nuzzled its head, purring loudly. Shuffling the moss around the now sleeping kit, left the nursery once more to find Tawnywing. Looking around from side to side. A itching came from her skin. ' Oh no! A flea!' Havenheart thought. She'd been taking extra care of her pelt though... Trying to find the flea was unseccesful so she gave up and looked around some more, the sun slowly sinking into the hilly river. The crickets already starting to chirp.
