The morning was fresh as a thick fog settled onto the clan's camp. Havenheart awoke as the dawn arose from it's slumber, silverpelt slowly fading into the morning sky. Havenheart sniffed the air, most cats hadn't awoken yet and she glanced at the fresh kill pile which was pitifully empty. Cats quietly began stridding out of their den . Instead of hunting, Havenheart decided to groom herself. "The clan can be fed after i have been groomed!" Suppressing a sigh, Havenheart slumped down and began to slowly lick her fore arm with long strokes. Then afterward finishing her shiny pelt with a scratch at a biting flea stretched and thought. " I can go hunting at sunhigh unless i am to join a patrol. For now, i guess i will wait untill i am to do somthing." Havenheart couldn't help but to think of how selfish she was being, "but after all, I am hard warrior! Don't hard warriors deserve a day of rest?" She layed thinking. The trees and bracken seemed to rustle with the wind in disagreement. She got up and padded through the clearing back to the now empty warriors den. The early morn was replaced by a sun rising dawn and in the warriors den, where she quickly, and quietly curled up, and went to started thinking again in her mossy and leafy bedding. " Unless i get caught."

♦ ♀ Gentleheart. RiverClan Warrior ♦ [/sup] Gentleheart hadn't had the best morning by any means. After getting a thorn stuck in her paw, not to mention acting so foolish about it in front of Stonybrook, things had to start looking up for the delicate grery-and-white she-cat. Her forepaw throbbed slightly for a moment before the poppy seeds took effect and numbed the pain. She secretly thanked StarClan that Cherrypaw and Stonybrook had both been so knowledgable to assist her. She would have been so embarrassed to wobble around camp with a thorn stuck in her paw.
Acting nonchalant, as if nothing had happened in the morning, she strolled by the fresh-kill pile. She was a bit hungry, as she skipped her breakfast to high-tail it to the medicine cat's den. The pile was rather empty, and she stiffled a growl as she padded away from it, giving up on the thought of an early morning meal. She wasn't in the mood to do much today - let alone go hunting for herself.
Since getting the thorn in her paw, she felt that she wasn't exactly in the best condition to hunt or patrol - rest would be needed, she almost chuckled to herself. She wasn't often lazy, but this day she felt she should indulge in an early morning nap. Shaking her fur as she made it to the warriors' den. She peered inside, green eyes glancing all around to make sure the other warriors had already left for the day. Her eyes stopped as she spotted Havenheart.
"Why, good morning, Havenheart," the she-cat purred in her sweet, light voice; she was glad that only Havenheart was in the den. Haven was a nice she-cat, and Gentleheart quite liked that. She padded into the den carefully and sat down on a piece of moss next to the friendly she-cat, tail lashing back and forth comfortably.

Havenheart picked her head up,Sniffing and stiffling a sigh as it was only Gentleheart, "Good morning Gentleheart, how are you this morning?" Havenheart asked politley flexing her claws comfortably. She licked Gentleheart once on her shoulder and settled down with her head resting on her paws, She sniffed and became aware of the huge sore in Gentlehearts paw, "Oh! What happened to your paw Gentleheart?" Picking her head up again, only to see Gentlehearts slow rising and lowering of her pelt, Havenheart decided she would see the elders.
So, quickly shaking the dirt off her pelt, padded to the clearing only to glance sadly at the fresh kill pile, her nose flaring of hunger. " I might as well hunt!"She thoughtfully added to herself, and anyway she had slept untill sunhigh, it would be good to leave camp for a while. "Thank starclan i wasn't to join a patrol!" She added happily to herself and chuckled lightly. As she wiggled through some overhanging tree branches as the sun fell menancily on her fur. She followed the usuall path down near the river where she sniffed lightly, and couldn't pick up a scent. Padding further down the water, the weeds swayed with approval of her decision to hunt.
"Today is a good day, Today is a good day," She murmered. Then came a tiny crinckling of a seed further up bank. The grass swayed and the sound stopped. Havenhearts ears flicked and turned with annoyance as the sound reapeared. "Starclan is testing me!" She was brought back to her selfish actions earlier when she shook her head to clear it and crept forward. Her claws sliding in and out and legs flexing and un-flexing, pin-pointed the small noise coming from a clump of feverfew. Crouching, Havenheart prepared herself and gracefully jumped, landing on a plump rabbit! "Ah! Rabbit!!" She thought as the rabbit squeeked and kicked and it was all over in one quick bite.
She reconized this herb as a small kit when she had a chill in leaf-bare. Holding both rabbit and feverfew clumps in her mouth, she burried them for later and continued. Just at the beginning of nightfall, Havenheart proudly strolled back to camp with 2 rabbits and a water vole. Somthing nagged at her though, "when did rabbit get on this side of the river?" She questioned. "Some kittypet warrior must of chased it into our territorry," she thought pleasantly thought to herself as clan cats began to take their share only to drop off feverfew in the medicine cats den.
Looking around for Shadownose one last time, left the den and padded across the clearing and check the warriors den for Gentleheart whose bedding was unoccupied and cold. So, Havenheart returned to the camp entrance debating on whether she should go out again.

♦ ♀ Gentleheart. RiverClan Warrior ♦ [/sup] Gentleheart offered the she-cat a simple, friendly smile as the grey-and-white female rested her paws on the ground.
"Very well, thank you," she meowed, her light and sweet tone back into her voice. Another smile appeared on her face as Havenheart offered her pelt a quick lick, and Gentleheart noticed how ungroomed she had become. Her eyes suddenly became wide with shock as Havenheart noticed her wounded paw. Frantically, the she-cat put the paw underneath her chest as she lay down on the moss blanket of the den.
"Oh, nothing serious," she meowed, a bit of embarrassment clouding her face. Gentleheart was pleased when Havenheart left the subject, but her ears flicked as her Clanmate left the den. She didn't mind resting alone, but part of her felt annoyed that she couldn't hunt for the Clan at the moment. Gentleheart knew that she would quickly tire of lazing around all day, and she forced herself to get up.
Padding slowly out of the den, she could feel the sun beating down on her fur. It was a very calm feeling, almost serene and mind-cleansing, as Gentleheart absorbed the rays.
The day seemed to pass quite quickly as Gentleheart attempted to hunt several times, to no avail of course. Giving up, by sunset she had returned to camp to each a mouse and vole from the pile of fresh-kill. Finishing up, she noticed Havenheart enter and exit the warriors' den. Her green eyes followed the warrior to the edge of camp, padding very cautiously.
"Havenheart - where've you been all day?" she meowed to the warrior as she caught up to her. It was certainly night by now as the stars glittered in the sky above their heads. Tiredness ebbed at her conscious, but she forced it away as she focused her attention on Havenheart.

" Oh! Good evening Gentleheart!" Havenheart purred with deilght. Cats were starting to join a patrol or go back to their den for a nights rest. " I have been hunting today!" Havenheart added proudly and looked up at silverpelt, the stars blazed and twinkled ever so bright. " Gentleheart," Havenheart paused, " How is your paw? Don't worry, I like helping other cats! you sure you're okay walking on it? It would not be good for it to get infected," The worry showed in Havenhearts eyes, clearly caring for this she-cat. Havenheart smiled and rested her tail on Gentlehearts shoulder, taking one great big stretch and a scratch to the ear as she padded across the clearing to a nice spot in the warriors den and called " Join me if you like Gentleheart!" As Havenheart layed down and started grooming herself. As her steady strokes broke into the rythym of the crickets and the gurgle of the stream. She quickly curled up on her mossy and dry bedding, ' Gentleheart is so nice! I wish we could become friends, She's a little quiet somtimes but i think i can fix that!' and with that last remark Havenheart curled up, sleep pouring into her exuasted limbs and soothing her meaning for sleep. 'Tommorrow will be a good day!' Havenhearts last thought slipped into nothing as she began to dream.

♦ ♀ Gentleheart. RiverClan Warrior ♦ [/sup] The grey-and-white she-cat smiled at the warrior, her eyes bright and warm. She still felt bad that she couldn't catch much prey today (and by much, I mean none), but she felt good as Havenheart informed her that she had been successful at hunting. Her face felt flushed the next moment as Havenheart brought up her wounded paw, and she let out an awkward chuckle. She really hoped it would heal soon.
"Oh, it's fine. It's a bit sore. I visited Cherrypaw this morning, and she treated it; I'm not sure where Shadownose was. I'm kind of glad it was just Cherrypaw - Shadownose would have badgered me with all kinds of questions! He knows how private I am, but still pesters," she meowed a bit of a complaint, but her eyes showed that she appreciated Shadownose. She would never mention it outloud, but she respected Shadownose and was very glad he was their medicine cat - he was very knowledable.
"Don't mind if I do," Gentleheart purred as she got to her paws, following the warrior into the den. She padded over to her moss corner and fluffed it up with a few paw swipes before resting her body on it. In minutes she, too, was out for the night, dreaming of chasing rabbits.
