So sing along to my stereo. It the departure of the battle of the trespassers, a Abyssinian Cat broke in with a sprint, skidding to a halt beside Midnightstar. The cat was an apprentice, Jasperpaw, know for being late to almost everything. He looked around, his fur fluffed up wildly as if he'd been soaked, then blow dried by a salon stylist. The rusty feline panted, his pink tongue lolling out like a dog's. Jasperpaw looked back and forth from the retreating ThunderClanners, and the clawed up ShadowClan cats. Instantly then, he knew he was late. “I'm here! I'm here ..” He words had first been exclaimed, but by the end they had become an embarrassed mumble. Jasperpaw looked at the cats, hoping they weren't all staring at them. He could just feel those eyes glaring at his body with disgust by how he interrupted everything. Jasperpaw looked down at his large paws, ears flattened down in his own little shame. He looked up at the cats, his bright golden eyes seemed to shiver, as if he was frozen by their terrifying icy glares. He sat casually in the camp, basking in the sun. The sun beated on his rusty colored pelt, giving him a relaxing burning sensation on his back. Jasperpaw felt content, until he felt the weight of something pounce onto his back. The apprentice's golden eyes flashed open in alarm, and looked to see a black and white kit jumping harmlessly on his back. Jaspy purred with delight, a carefully picked up with kit his his unsheathed red paw. He set the child on the ground beneath the rock, and soon afterwards jumping down from his sunning spot to face the little kitten. “Hello, Wrenkit. What's the need to be so jumpy?” Jasperpaw asked, licking the ThunderClanner on the top of the head with a friendly purr. He felt the kit waddle closer to him, feeling the prickle in his fur of making contact with another's pelt. The rusty apprentice looked around at the beautiful trees surrounding the camp. It truly was a sight to see. Wrenkit just bounced up and down, giggling like the maniac he was. The black and white tom put up his paw in the air, resting it on the bridge of Jaspy's red-brown muzzle. “Didn't you here? There's some cats trespassing on ThunderClan's territory, and Midnightstar and a bunch of others are there, too! Oh, a battle; how exciting!” Renny took his paw off of Jasperpaw's face, and skipped away all gleeful and happy. Jaspy was left there, sitting beside a sunning rock. His golden eyes grew wide, relizing that he should've been there to help hours ago! A sick, horrible feeling sat at the pit of his stomach, as he moaned in dismay. “I'm late! StarClan save me!” He cried, as he dashed onto his feet and into the territory. |
