Flamepaw's appearance is hard to describe in just a few words. He's naturally a lithe tom, and has a more lean frame than a tom from, say, ThunderClan would. He still has a decent amount of muscle, especially on his shoulders and back legs, which makes swimming a breeze for him. His limbs are of mid-length and well controlled by their owner, making Flamepaw a graceful cat. His tail is on the short side, making tree climbing a bit difficult. His neck isn't too short, but isn't giraffe-like either. He has a small, narrow head with two pointed ears jutting out at average angles on each side. His eyes are deep set, meaning they don't bulge out. It gives him a thoughtful, brooding appearance. His muzzle ends in a pink, triangular nose surrounded by white fur, despite his ginger coat. Ah, yes, his coat- we should probably move on to that now. Flamepaw is a ginger tabby, which defines his orange coloring, with even darker stripes and swirls of orange along his brow, neck, legs, tail, and ribcage. The tabby markings on his hips and back are more faded, though he does have a distinct dark ginger line running down part of his spine. His paws are splashed with bits of pale yellow fur, blending in nicely with his orange coat. His eyes are rounded orbs of olive green so pale that it could be mistaken for amber if you didn't look closely enough. Each eye ends with a dash of white where they meet the bridge of his muzzle. That pretty much sums up Flamepaw's appearance.

Personality: Flamepaw's personality is one that is, again, hard to sum up in few words. To put it simply, he's a shades-of-grey kind of cat, neither the protagonist or the antagonist of the story. He can be selfish, to be honest. While he understands that the good of the Clan is important and is completely willing to give up anything for his Clan, he cares too much for his personal needs. If he feels he has been wronged, he will seek some kind of justice, though he rarely goes about it in a violent or vengeful way. He can overreact at times, and will hold grudges long after an incident has occurred. He puts himself on the spot again and again, and isn't afraid to be seen. In this way, you could say he is reckless and/or headstrong, but it's not always a negative trait. He will always stand up for what he believes in, and will never back down to a challenge. He is protective of his Clan- he's protective in general. Flamepaw isn't the kind of cat to surrender, and one day, when he dies, he won't go down without a fight, medicine cat apprentice or not.

History: Flamekit was born and raised in ShadowClan, playing with the other kits from an early age. His father Maplefrost, a ginger tom as well, was a respected warrior in the Clan and it was assumed that Flamekit would follow in his father's pawsteps and become an esteemed warrior as well. This all changed when the ginger kit was seven moons old and an apprentice that showed great potential. His father was brought to the camp seriously injured in a border skirmish against ThunderClan. He watched, disgusted, as the medicine cat was unable to save his father. Maplefrost died, and while his mate and kits sat vigil for him, Flamepaw decided that he would become a medicine cat apprentice, and do better and try harder to save the lives of cats his mentor was 'unable to'.

Other: This in no way implies that Fallingfeather (the ShadowClan medicine cat) is bad at his/her job. Flamepaw just as high standards, and he thinks he/she didn't do well enough to save his father, so he's trying to do better. xP
