wrenkit
Wrenkit, a kit of ThunderClan, trotted into the clearing at the stroke of midnight. The night was cold, and the moon faintly showed by the overlay of late dark clouds. Paw after tiny white paw, the child curiously strutted in the camp, his golden brown eyes lighting his way. He took a seat, feeling his rump hit the cold ground with a slight thud. The black and white kit breathed in deeply, taking in the crisp oxygen of the night. It was cold and fresh, just the way he liked it.
Well golly, it's so quiet here .. I like it. Wrenkit thought inside his deep thoughts, as he looked around with a bright cat-like smile. A freezing gale blew past him, causing the tiny body to shiver in the response. The splotched kit sniffed quietly, dealing with the cold without a complaint. And then, an odd feeling came upon him. He felt as if watching eyes were burning a glare on his back. With a prickle of his fur, and a turn of his head, he flashed around to expect a feline staring there. Nothing. Wrenkit's fluffy fur began to flare down, as he exhaled in relief. It was just his imagination. Yeah right.
With that, he looked back up at the moon, it's beautiful light reflecting in his brown orbs. Wrenkit purred, marveling in the moon's grace and beauty. The child lifted up his paw, having the illusional thought that he could reach up and grab it. But when he used his small muscles to close his paw into a fist-like shape, he found the space empty. He made a disappointed and surprised 'oh' noise, with his soft voice as he lowered his black ears. Wrenkit's brown eyes were wide, as he looked back up at the moon. "So pretty .. If only I could keep it with me forever. I really like the moon. If only those stupid clouds didn't always cover it up."
Renny titled his head, as he looked up at the soft glowing sphere. "Moon, do you have a name? Huh, I'll name you Luna from now on. Well, hi, Luna. My name's Wrenkit, but you can call me Renny. So .. What do you like to do, Luna?" He asked, waiting for the moon to reply. It never did. The ThunderClan cat frowned, looking down. His glazed brown eyes shifted at the earth, feeling ashamed. Oh, I should've know: a moon doesn't talk. I guess in my mixed up fantasy of loneliness, I tricked myself into thinking Luna was another feline. That the moon was a best friend of mine. Oh, silly me.

Burningpaw awoke and growled as he heard a slight noise outside of the apprentices' den. He let out a low hiss as the noise came back, and he stood up, determined to stop whatever it was. Burningpaw stood, stretched, then looked out of the apprentices' den.
A kit? What's that doing out of the nursery at this time? I'll go set it straight. Burningpaw thought, his claws reaching into the earth and digging some up as they retracted. He walked the rest of the way out of the apprentices' den, went straight to the kit, and asked, "Aren't you supposed to be in the nursery at this time?" Burningpaw's face became a snarl- he was awoken from his sleep, after all- especially since the animal that had awoken him was a kit.

wrenkit The moon still held it's beauty in his brown eyes, and he purred to compliment it. Again, Renny became dillusional, and felt as if he could reach up into the night sky to hug the moon named Luna. The child sat up on his black and white hind legs, and reached up with both forepaws. Wrenkit purred again, giggling with delight as he reached out into the air. This time, he grasped his forepaws together, as if he were planning to hug Luna with a friendly squeeze. His eyes glistened, as the final moment of truth came. The ThunderClan kit made his movement, and again found that the space the moon shone was empty. He made another disappointed sound with his vocal chords, and looked back down at the ground.
"Oh, must I be so --" A growl came, cutting his ashamed scold short. The voice of hatred caused a uneasy prickle of his fur. Wrenkit's brown eyes grew wide, as he turned his small head in the direction of the venomous voice. The tiny black and white kit looked up at the apprentice with an innocent look. Renny instantly became frozen by Burningpaw's unforgivable glare with those narrowed, soul-piercing eyes. The kit backed a way a little, an tripped over a tree root that found itself above the forest soil. He tried to get back up, but felt a sharp tug on his left backpaw. The ThunderClan kit winced in pain of response, and noticed that his foot was stuck under a tight root from a beech tree. Wrenkit looked up at the apprentice from the ground, making him feel like an ant under a shadow of a towering skyscraper. The black and white child smiled nervously, and said softly, “Oof, you sure scared me! Hi, I'm Wrenkit. Y'see, I'm in a bit of a pickle; my paw's stuck. Can you help me out, pretty please?” He asked, blinking his brown eyes innocently.

(I feel guilty, lol, he's a sweet kit!>.<' XD)
Burningpaw growled more, "Oh? Well, learn to use your senses... Aww, you're stuck? Poor you- here, I'll help you by sending you off to StarClan." He unsheathed his claws, not letting them retract, and slowly walked forward, finding it amusing that he was letting the tension rise in that way. "You know, you could've ended up being a good, strong warrior- if only you hadn't been out here talking to yourself at night... I wouldn't hav'e woken up until morning, and you'd be nice and comfy in your nest in the nursery." Burningpaw hissed. He almost let out a sigh, they'll figure it out sooner or later... I kind of- no! I refuse to let myself feel guilty about killing a kit! He thought. Burningpaw stood and almost screeched, but knew better to, and swiped his left paw down, trying to slash the kit.

"Burningpaw," Fleetingthunder snapped sharply as he heard the apprentice's mean attitude. "Yes, kits shouldn't be out of the nursery... but you were a kit too once. I was as well. Kits will be kits, now settle down, both of you." Well, not really both of them, mainly Burningpaw. Even as the leader's apprentice, the tom could be annoying it seemed. "And you better remain civilised, or I will tell Midnightstar about this, how you attempted to kill one of our clan. Have you no conscience Burningpaw? Do you know what this means? Hm?" Yes, he was in a bad mood, and it was late at night, and Fleetingthunder had more important things to deal with. The medicine cat helped the poor kit out of his situation, and offered him some poppy seeds, "Here, eat these, and get yourself back off to the nursery."
