Cherrypaw and Blossompaw quietly slunk out of Riverclan territory and headed straight for the Looking Pool, the darkness of the night surrounding them. If what Stonybrook said is true, maybe we can see Featherfur or Burningsun! Cherrypaw thought determinedly. Her eyes glowed and showed every bit of determination that she felt, I hope it wasn't just a kits' tale.. The apprentice stopped walking, left paw in the air as she was mid-step when she'd stopped.
Blossompaw stopped next to her and looked at her, eyes wide with fear, "What? Did you hear something? See something? No... No you scented something, didn't you?" Blossompaw gulped in nervousness; she hadn't really wanted to sneak out, but she really wanted to see her mother or father- that is, if what they said was true...
Cherrypaw's whiskers twitched, "D-Do you think.... Do you think it was just a kits' tale?"
Blossompaw slowly pinned her ears to her head and hissed, "Are you kidding? You wake me up and force me to come out of camp- when I'm probably going to get in trouble- just to stop and actually think for once... And your thoughts take you to the possibility that the rumor isn't true. Wonderful." She turned and started stomping back to camp.
Cherrypaw dashed to her sister and blocked her from going any farther, "No! I-I was just wondering what you thought... And I never 'forced' you to come! You didn't have to come with me! I just thought you'd want to talk to Featherfur or Burningsun! Sheesh.." She spat, her tail now lashing.
Blossompaw sighed, "Fine. Let's keep going..." Then turned and started going to the apprentices' destination once again. It better be right... She thought, now annoyed at her sister.
Cherrypaw followed Blossompaw but stayed back a bit, Now she's angry at me... Well, she'll be happy if it's true. She thought.
The apprentices finally arrived at the Looking Pool and looked down into the water simultaneously. Please work! Please work! Cherrypaw thought pleadingly. They suddenly saw Featherfur's reflection instead of their own- in the middle of where their reflections should've been. She looked happily and blinked slowly at them, her eyes showing happiness. Then Featherfur was gone and her reflection was replaced by Blossompaw and Cherrypaw's.
Happy that it had worked, the apprentices started heading back to Riverclan- only to see that the sun was rising. "We'll never make it back by the time they wake up! The dawn patrol will be out by then, probably.." Blossompaw meowed, panick in her voice. The two apprentices heard a rustling in the grass nearby and quickly turned, not knowing what to expect nor how to react.

Havenheart stepped out into the open quietly hushing the startled cats. "What are you two thinking?" She meowed in a hushed voice. Havenheart turned around to see the dawn rising quickly, flatening herself to the ground, she whispered to the surprised she-cats, "I knew it! Don't worry, i come here to! if we don't leave now, the dawn patrol will catch us," She mewed. With a flick of her tail she slunk back into the grass and called, "Stay downwind and follow me! Hurry!" Sniffing the air, Havenheart could detect no sign of the dawn patrol, and rolled in the dirt to hide some of her scent. When a thick layer had formed, she awaited the she-cats to quickly do the same and follow her, The uncertainty showed in Havenhearts eyes 'Please starclan' The breeze rustled the reeds and Havenheart sniffed the air again and looked back at her fellow clanmates.

• ♀ Dappledcoat. RiverClanClan Warrior • [/sup] Dappledcoat had been having quite a boring day, in her opinion, and she didn't fancy that much at all. She liked excitement and drama in her life - or at least a little bump in the usual routine in camp. Heaving a yawn in the early afternoon, Dappledcoat felt the need to go for a stroll. Now, Dappledcoat wasn't usually the cat who went lollygagging around camp, strolling to-and-fro singing songs - not by any means. But she had to get away. Things had been upsetting her lately, especially with her sister Tawnywing. She felt it was no more of her business what her sister thought of her at the moment - she had betrayed her and told Runningstar about Crowsnarl. Of course, she didn't expect Crowsnarl to get angry and scamper off - how rude of him to leave Tawnywing all alone. . not to mention herself.
Before Dappledcoat realized it, she had scampered away from RiverClan territory completely. The tortoiseshell-and-white cat's fur bristled for a moment, worried she might be caught. There wasn't any scent to be found of an opposing Clan, and she sighed with relief. It was only then that she picked up a few familiar scents. Her yellow eyes narrowed, and she began to pursue the familiar smells.
Dappledcoat padded steadily through the edge of WindClan territory, near the old barn where loners often rested, until she came before the infamous pool of water. She wasn't sure if she herself believed in the tales, but a part of her wished they were true. It would only take one glance for her to look in the pool and possibly see him…
Dappledcoat finally approached the pool, but by now the day was done. Suddenly she picked up the familiar scents along with another. She couldn't exactly pin-point what it was, but she hurried to catch up with the familiar cats.
As she stumbled upon Cherrypaw and Blossompaw, she gave a loud hiss.
"Blossom! What do you think you two are doing out here?" she groaned, eyes blazing (of course, she wasn't truly mad with her eager apprentice, but she liked to pretend to be). "And you brought Cherrypaw out here with you? You know you're not supposed to enter these lands. It's dangerous."
Dappledcoat's voice rung out as she noticed Havenheart nearby, plastered to the ground. Her eyes appeared puzzled at first, wondering what had the cat worried. Being the prideful cat she was, Dappledcoat had no worry of a WindClan patrol - she knew she could ease her way out by complaining of wandering apprentices. But there seemed to be something else involved in the gathering here.
Dappledcoat's eyes flashed up and she knelt down to the ground as Havenheart did; there was a rustle several feet downwind. Dappledcoat couldn't pinpoint the scent, but she hoped it wasn't anything too serious. Her eyes flashed to the apprentices, and instinctively she maneuvered so that whatever was in the grass would have to get to her first. And then she waited.

At the voices, the apprentices' fur fluffed up, and their eyes widened. Cherrypaw defended Blossompaw from Dappledcoat, "It was my faullt! I dragged her out here!" She meowed, standing in front of her littermate.
Blossompaw flicked her tail in front of Cherrypaw's and crouched, padding over to Havenheart. Cherrypaw followed quietly and sarcastically whispered, "sorry!" She sighed, "We just wanted to see Featherfur and Burningsun.." Her eyes showed sadness as she mentioned their parents.

With that notion, Havenheart flicked her tail and plunged into the tall grasses making sure the apprentices and warrior were behind her, keeping low, she swiftly sniffed the air, making sure the patrol was not headed this way, and ran across a open spot and darting and weaving patiently through the open plain, waiting for cherrypaw and blossompaw. 'Dappeledcoat sure thinks she is the invisible one somtimes' Havenheart thought noticing how Dappledcoat stood like nothing was going on.
Annoyance ebbed at her pelt as she thought of it. Havenheart picked her head up cautiously when a fern rustled suddenly, her fur bristled and lay flat again when she relized it was just the wind. "Lets go!" Havenheart whispered, halfway through windclan terriotory. 'What if we don't make it in time?' The thought bit Havenhearts fur and she pushed it away. Then Havenheart stopped to make sure they were still following her.

• ♀ Dappledcoat. RiverClanClan Warrior • [/sup][/color] Dappledcoat's eyes softened at the apprentices' pleading statement for a moment, but she quickly forced that away. Dappledcoat wasn't exactly the most kind cat - don't get me wrong, she was considerate, but she couldn't handle those type of motherly and sweet feelings well. Instead she would change her disposition to alleviate the kind air. And that's exactly what she did.
"Well, that's still no excuse," she meowed, staring to the side. After all moments ago she thought of staring into the bewitched pool herself. She shook these thoughts from her mind, and instead gave them a stern gaze. "There's no need for you to go off on your own. Who knows what's out here," she meowed, lowering her body once more as a noise erupted from behind her.
She glanced over at Havenheart, giving the warrior a quick nod. She brushed up against the other apprentices in an attempt to move them toward the warrior to get them off the territory. By now they were on the outskirts of WindClan land - it was dangerous, and I don't mean just the WindClan warriors.
The rustling behind them grew louder, as if some monster was coming closer in their direction. Dappledcoat froze, glancing around her.
"Havenheart, do you hear that?" she meowed quietly to the warrior, trying to make the apprentices unaware of the current situation. However, with that noise coming closer, it was inevitable that they would collide.
And that's exactly what happened.
There was more rustling for a moment and then it halted. Dappledcoat looked behind her in anticipation, her body completely rigid. A low sniffing could be heard no more than 10 feet away from where they were. A low growl erupted from the creature, and it began to move. Dappledcoat turned to her fellow Clanmates with a look of horror in her eyes.
"GO!" she hissed as she galloped away, her face glued to their mysterious creature.
Within a moment it was vivid what had caught their scent: it was a dark ruddy color, no more than 8 moons old, and had fierce canine teeth - a dog!
It began to bark as it moved after them, a playful look in its eyes. Of course, it wasn't really playing as far as the cats were concerned. Although the dog was young, it seemed to be on a mission to drive the cats away (most likely because it appeared to be a barn dog), and its eyes glittered while it ran. Loud yowls were heard as it gained speed on the cats, jaws clenching in a constant growl.

Panic screamed at Havenheart as she locked on to the dog. Havenheart got ready for the exact moment as it chased Dappledtail away, and pounced landing on the back of the dog, Havenheart called "Hurry!" Scratching and clwing her way at the scruffy smelly dogs eyeballs, the dogs attention turned on her, Havenheart fell to the ground in the small attempt. Whimpering, the dog turned back around and made a 360 and turned towards Havenheart and snarled with revenge glaring in it's eyes. Havenheart made sure the apprentices and warrior were out of harms way when she jumped on top of the dog once more and turned to face it, when she noticed...

• ♀ Dappledcoat. RiverClanClan Warrior • [/sup][/color] Dappledcoat glanced over her shoulder as Havenheart attempted to take on the dog by herself. Granted, it wasn't a full-grown dog, but it was still much bigger than themselves! A wave of awe entered her eyes, but was quickly swept away as worry clouded them. She had been trying cover for the apprentices, but now it looked like she needed to help Havenheart more.
"Hurry up and run back to camp!" she hissed quickly to the apprentices before changing her direction to face the dog.
Her eyes went wide with shock as Havenheart managed to attack the dog on its back, which made it attempt to writhe to get her off. She clawed at the pup's eyes, which made Dappledcoat's heart stop in anticipation. Havenheart was a smart cat, that was for sure! Had Dappledcoat attacked, she would have gone for the leg - but the eyes would have been the best target! If a dog's leg gets scratched, he limps. Yet if the eyes are scratched, he may become too blind to attack! Of course, this dog in particular was in pain but still attempted to move on toward them.
Dappledcoat's instincts made her do something stupid - something she may end up regretting. As Havenheart turned to pounce on the dog again, Dappledcoat had dashed toward the dog, aiming at his paws. The dog had changed its attention to Havenheart, and Dappledcoat was trying to be a decoy so that Havenheart could attack once more. Being a decoy, she rushed forward and bit as hard as she could onto his back leg, forcing the dog to turn his body in a squeal.
The dog yowled with anger and shook its leg to force Dappledcoat off, which he did with a large YANK, sending her flying into a very painful rock. However, as the dog was distracted, his back was fully available to Havenheart's attack - taking the dog completely off guard.
Dappledcoat, meanwhile, slowly attempted to get up, but felt a sharp pain in her back from the rough impact with a rock. There wasn't any blood, but she could feel a horrible bruise coming along her stomach and back leg where she got hit. The adrenaline pulsing through her veins allowed the pain to dull, and her attention flew back to Havenheart. The dog would only take so much more before retreating back to its home, and she knew it.
"Get 'im, Havenheart!" she yowled, staring intently at the battle before them.

Everything happened so fast- one moment Blossompaw and Cherrypaw were following Havenheart and Dappledcoat back to the RiverClan camp. The next- a dog was chasing them! Havenheart and Dappledcoat attacked the dog, then Dappledcoat hit a rock... Could things get worse?
Throughout the happenings, Blossompaw and Cherrypaw were completely still- having no idea what to do- if anything. "D-Dapledcoat?" Blossompaw called to her mentor, "Get 'im, Havenheart!" She heard a few moments after. The littermates looked at each other and split up- Blossompaw heading for the dog, while Cherrypaw raced to the rock that Dappledcoat had been knocked into.
"Dappledcoat! How are you?" How are you? What a stupid question! Cherrypaw thought, skidding to a stop in front of the she-cat. She crouched and looked over Dappledcoat, "Are you hurt anywhere? Bleeding? Should I go and get Shadownose? What herbs do you think I should use?"
Blossompaw ignored the itchy grass that was scratching her as she ran toward the dog, I'll make sure it never comes back! I hope Dappledcoat will be okay.. Blossompaw noticed the dog was facing the direction she was coming from and she let her ears go back and her teeth show in a snarl. The apprentice didn't have any battle training, but that didn't stop her. Blossompaw leaped- a bit crookedly- and her claws stretched out, reaching for the dog.
She slapped the dog, only to be caught in it's jaws. Blossompaw screeched with pain as it's teeth sank into her sides and she squirmed in an attempt to be dropped. She was, but Blossompaw lost fur and blood along the way. Breath came out in a struggle, and Blossompaw stumbled a bit before getting whacked by the dog's paw. She fell to the ground winded and gave up, I can't fight it! She thought, getting up and stumbling away toward Cherrypaw and Dapppledcoat, although pain did it's best to stop her, and nearly did.
When she'd finally gotten to the other two, Blossompaw fell to her side once again, "Fierce...." She meowed before being taken by unconsciousness, Can Havenheart get rid of it on her own? What's going to happen to Dappledcoat and me?

Havenheart let out a large hiss as she had just witnessed her clan mate being thrown into the rock, Havenheart pounced on the dogs backside, brutefully raking her claws down the hipe and bounced off to watch in horror as Blossompaw came running after the dog, 'Not yet!' Blossompaw was not ready! Havenheart, now face to face with the slobbering hound tried to distract the dog as much as she could, flung herself only to land on air, confused. Again, with horror, watched the dog take the apprentice by the sides and shake her like a twoleg toy. With a ear-splitting screech, jumped once again onto the dog with un-sheathed claws, fury winding up in her chest. The dog yowled and tried to shake her off but Havenheart hooked her claws, blood pouring from the dogs wound. The dog was whimpering horribly and, with a final attempt to snatch Havenheart, succeded. The she-cat was clipped at the tail and felt the sharp burn of teeth into her leg, 'NO!' she yowled to herself and turned onto the dog and raked her claws over the dogs eyes, blinding it momentarily.

Though she was weak and had problems standing, she knew the adrenaline pulsing through her veins would make it more manageable, at least until they were safe back home. Watching Cherrypaw and Blossompaw, Dappledcoat's eyes seemed to stray with worry. Cherrypaw had come to her aid, but Blossompaw was heading straight for the pup!
"I'm fine, Cherrypaw," Dappledcoat lied, trying to focus the attention off her wounded leg. "BLOSSOMPAW!" she yowled, her eyes wide as she watched the dog clutch onto her apprentice in its small jaws, only to send her flying with many deep cuts. She let out a terrifying hiss at the dog, fury in her eyes.
"Cherrypaw, look after your sister," she yowled, defiance in her voice. The next moment, with some wincing, she got up from her position and strode toward the pup.
The dog was very wounded now, certainly not what it must have expected when attacking a group full of young cats, and was blindly staring around - confused as ever. Dappledcoat saw this as a perfect escape plan. Turning her head toward the other cats, she hurried to explain.
"Cherrypaw, Blossompaw! Hurry, we have to go now while the dog is off-guard! Havenheart, bring up the rear - if the dog starts to follow, try to attack his eyes again!" her yowl echoed to them as she went back for Blossompaw. The young apprentice was very wounded, and Dappledcoat wasn't sure how well she'd fend for herself on the way back now that she was unconscious. Without giving it another thought, Dappledcoat attempted to grab and carry Blossompaw by the scruff as she raced toward camp, checking over her shoulder that the other cats were behind her. She was going at a fairly weak speed due to her injury, but because of the situation, she knew she would have to try her hardest for them to survive all the way back to camp. When they got back they could all be treated.

Cherrypaw followed Dappledcoat closely, making sure the warrior didn't fall unconscious like her littermate had, "If you don't think you can carry her- I will!" She meowed. The last thing we need is for a cat or two to slow down and get attacked again. The she-cat's green eyes went back to Havenheart and the dog, and Cherrypaw's claws dug into the ground as she moved forward, wanting to harm it like it had her sister and clanmates.
Blossompaw let out a low moan as she felt dirt beneath her paws, What's going on? She couldn't tell, but sort of figured that she was being carried somewhere, Camp? To the dogs' home to be eaten? Panic rose in her and Blossompaw opened her eyes to find grass passing by and could feel herself in a set of jaws. "Cherrypaw?" She asked, thinking that was the scent of the cat that was carrying her.
"I'm over here," Cherrypaw answered her sister gently, running her tail along Blossompaw's back, "Dappledcoat's bringing you to camp- we're all going back.." Right? She wondered, turning back to Havenheart again.
"Dappledcoat..." Blossompaw mewed, scenting blood... The dog really bit me.. Blossompaw blinked a few times and regained more memories of the fight and became more conscious. "Where's the dog?" She asked, looking back. The she-cat's tabby fur rose as she saw it, "It's still around?"

Havenheart followed the cats orders as they fled hastily out of the clearing. Havenhearts blood pounded deep in her ears as her leg poured blood onto the grasses, 'oh, Windclan will be sure to find out we are here now!' she wavered against the wind the screaming wind and flicked her ears back. 'Theres blood everywhere!' she told herself and stood once again, eye to eye with the dog until it fled towards the 3 injured cats, quickly speeding to keep up, lightning stuck the ground a couple fox length away 'oh, starclan!' she yowled avoiding the fire, panick exploding in flurries in her chest. The dog turned to face the fire and fled toward the twolegplace and smoke filled the clearing, burning her wound. The rain now poured on Havenhearts pelt making it hard to see as gray clouds swirled quickly in, 'Somthings wrong! Starclan is sending somthing!' Havenheart new it musn't be for her because
