THE ROLEPLAYING RULES; Section 1
1) Speak only in third-person. That means that you always RolePlaying as if it was not your cat(s) directly, but like in a book. The examples might be able to help better.
2) No Godmodding or Powerplaying. Let me further define these for you:
- Godmodding: You cat is invincible at some points where he/she can always attack back, never gets tired, and always dodges attacks placed on them.
- Powerplaying: The Ability to hurt another Roleplayer's cat(s) without their want or to control another's cat(s).
3) You cannot kill off another person's character without their approval.
4) This is a CAT RPG, meaning cats only and that's that. There are to be no foxes, badgers, mongoose, horses, dogs, etc. as your characters. That is final and I will not change my mind.
5) Only Medicine Cats and Leader can speak with StarClan. They are the only ones that can receive dreams that mean a lot of things like prophecies. Occasionally, a warrior might receive a strange dream that means something, but it will be decided by admins over that sort of thing. Remember that Leaders and Medicine Cats don't have a million dreams though!
6) You [no matter what] may NOT be "born-again" since it is impossible. Once your cat is dead then it is dead. Sorry, but it can never come back, and never will unless in dreams, but that's it.
7) You cannot have nine lives, in-human techniques, or anything that can make you invincible. We take it as a major powerplaying. And remember: not all cats can have longer claws, barely any do!
8) Cats do not know about many things like: pie, cheese, potatoes, etc. So remember while Roleplaying to not bring these type of things up.
9) Don't ask for a mentor, your leader probably already has one in mind for you! If, after a week at least you have not been assigned a mentor, then you can PM your leader or an admin to sort out the situation.
10) Your cat must be at least 12 moons for them to have apprentices - this is their adult age, and when most cats are ready to actuall begin to reproduce.
11) Another character must roleplay you're mate - we do not allow mates by the same roleplayer.
12) If you reserve a kit then you must be active with it. If you are not active with it then you may not have any kit from the next three litters, even if they are your own.
13) You are allowed to be in two places at a time not counting a Gathering or a Meeting [ you are always allowed to be at two other places AND a Gathering/Meeting ]. The only key is that if you are in two threads that one of them takes place earlier than the other. Basically you have a current thread and a past thread; you are not allowed to roleplay in the future - it's just past and present. That is remaining the rule unless it is further modified.
14) You are allowed two high positions, if applicable. You may be either a leader and deputy, leader and medicine cat, or medicine cat and deputy. However, the rule is that they can not be in the same Clan. Also, you are only allowed to play one leader at a time, so if you are a leader and a deputy and the deputy is supposed to become leader you have to decide which to keep. You may also be a medicine cat apprentice, as it is not seen as a 'high' position.
15) Only one account per person. Please don't make one account per character. It's much easier to have one universal account and just use different colors, etc., to play your different cats.
16) Right now you may have a total of 7 cats. This number may change, but I've always felt that 7 was a good number for a limit.
17) There is NO word-limit on this website. This means you can make your posts however long you want. If you want to post 5 sentences, that's fine, and if you want to post 20 paragraphs, that's fine too. Although I would like to run a "literate" site, I feel that if there is no limit to how many words posts have to be that people enjoy themselves more and have more fun going at their own pace. This website is designed for fun, remember, so enjoy yourselves!
