It was a slightly chill night, but there was an air of importance all around. Though the clearing of the four trees was bare, it would soon be filled with the yowlings of many cats.
Jadestar journeyed with her RiverClan warriors and apprentices to Fourtrees, keeping herself alert and poised the entire way. With a flick of her tail, they entered the clearing and she sat down by a moss-covered tree trunk to await the arrival of the other Clan cats.
Gentleheart padded into the clearing, her green eyes darting around the clearing. It had been a while since the RiverClan cat had made her trek to Fourtrees. She fluffed up her white-and-grey fur for a moment before sitting down comfortably in the clearing.
Dappledcoat was another story. The she-cat had a slightly foul look on her face, as she had woken up too early that day, among other things. Her yellow eyes gazed around for Blossompaw, her apprentice, but she couldn't find her. She heaved a sigh before slumping down on her paws slightly to rest for a moment.

His flame-colored fur still glimmered in the moonlight as moonhigh was approaching. He went on in front of Midnightstar and his Clanmates and reached the clearing first. He recognized the RiverClan leader, and gave her a short head bow of which she returned. There seemed to be a strange nature to the other RiverClan cats present, but he shifted it from his thoughts and instead sat down near a few stones, grooming his forepaws.

Midnightstar padded in the front of ThunderClan, her green eyes narrowed. "Have fun," She meowed to her Clan, expecting them to split up. I wonder where that RiverClan warrior that was hanging around Sunningrocks and gave me a fish is.. He was a nice cat.. She shook her head, Again- not happening! Midnightstar suddenly realized that she was walking straight toward Jadestar. She stopped a tail-length or two away, "Greetings, Jadestar." The ThunderClan leader calmly meowed.
Burningpaw looked around, Are there any warriors to annoy? He wondered.
Blossompaw and Cherrypaw padded around in separate areas, being the social apprentices they were, they didn't stick around each other as most littermates seemed to as apprentices.

Tawnywing was trotting cheerfully at the front of the RiverClan group. It had been nearly a moon since she got out of the camp. Ever since she had found Sourkit and started to raise him she had been confined to camp to watch over the whiny kit. Don't get her wrong, Tawnywing loved the little kit like nothing else, but she was a cat used to freedom and missed the rivers like crazy. She had been set to stay behind and take care of the kits, but had been convinced last minute by Sourkit, who assured her he would sleep through to the night anyway. Some of the cats who had stayed behind had assured Tawnywing that they would keep a close eye on the kit and finally, the she cat reluctantly agreed.
Her tawny ears flickered back wards as she recognized the heavy foot falls of her sister and decided right there that she would spend the night with her sister. The temporary queen slowed her place until she was right beside her sister. "What do think has happened to the other clans in the past moon?" She asked politely of her sister, brushing her pelt against the other she cat's gently.
Stormywind was caught frozen awkwardly as the rest of his clan split off to interact with other cats. He glanced around with his olive eyes as the other cats broke off into groups, chatting and boasting away without looking at the ThunderClan tom at all. He lowered his ears and tail and slunk away closer to where the leaders would sit, but made sure to sit in the shadows as not to be seen easily. Hopefully he could get through this gathering without embarrassing himself.

As to appear nonchalant, yet observant, she offered the leader a friendly smile while her eyes wandered to the Clan with her. "Greetings, Midnightstar," the RiverClan leader half-purred, bowing her head slightly out of respect. "How have you been lately?" - Dappledcoat was caught off-guard by her sister's sudden approach, and her eyes went wide in shock. They did not share the bond they had before, mostly due to Dappledcoat's jealousy, and now the she-cat felt uneasy. She hadn't truly spoken to her sister in a long time - she barely offered a curt hello now and then when they approached one another. She gave a nasty look at the tawny-colored she-cat before shaking her face of it. It had been many moons now since Crowsnarl had left the Clan, and she couldn't help but think she had handled the entire situation wrong. She wouldn't make up entirely with her sister, but for once in her life she decided to change her attitude. "I don't know. ThunderClan seems a bit odd; WindClan and ShadowClan had yet to arrive. Maybe something's happened to them," she meowed back to her sister, letting her sister's fur rub up against her. As she spoke, she refused to make eye contact. She was slowly becoming comfortable with her sister beside her (who wouldn't though with how sweet Tawnywing was), no matter how many times she tried to deny it. Maybe one day soon they'd be like they once were. | [atrb=style, background: #A7EF6D;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 20px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] C A T S O F R I V E R CL A N [/style][/style] | [atrb=style, background: #CFEF6D;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 5px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] [/style][/style] | table layout design made by minty |

WindClan and ShadowClan had yet to make an appearance tonight. So far, he could only see RiverClan cats all around. His body shifted, slightly uncomfortable, as his eyes wandered. He spotted Burningpaw and Stormywind nearby, looking nearly as bored as himself. With a smirk and a grunt, he padded towards them.
He flicked out his tail and attempted to bop Burningpaw on the head as he let out a chuckle, quickly dodging the apprentice to make his way toward Stormywind, a twinkle in his eye.
"Well, you certainly look happy to be here," he meowed to the warrior, sitting down near him. Although Stormywind was sitting in the shadows of the forest, Catnipcloud could tell it was him by his mannerisms. Stormywind was often a cat to be found alone, and Catnipcloud pitied him to an extent. Despite being non-Clan born, Stormywind was a decent warrior for ThunderClan and Catnipcloud didn't mind him much. His eyes shifted back to Burningpaw to see if his tail flick had affected the apprentice at all, the smirk still upon his maw.

Tawnywing let out a musical laugh, her whiskers twitching in amusement as she finally found leaf-free spot to sit. She wrapped her tail around her paws and swept her tail around, indicating Dappledpelt would be welcome to join her. "Then again, when is ThunderClan not a little bit off?" She meowed jokingly, her eyes highlighting on the other cats in the clearing with ThunderClan scent. Naturally as a RiverClan cat, Tawnywing could see no appeal what so ever in living in a forest territory. Maybe she was just to addicted to the taste of fish to even try.
Shaking her head, a nearly invisible smile still on her maw, Tawnywing turned serious as she landed her eyes on the two female leaders. "Lets hope everything goes well tonight. The last thing we need is some strife at a gathering." She meowed, uncharacteristically serious. Her orbs turned to the night sky and observed it critically. The sky was clear as it normally was on Gathering nights, but there were numerous clouds threatening to cover the moon, like crows circling dead prey. It made the she cat a little uneasy to think that StarClan was already tense before the Gathering even started. Or was the sky just reflecting the feelings of the clans? Tawnywing just shook her head, she really didn't know.
Stormywind jumped slightly at the other ThunderClan warrior's voice and gave the other tom a nervous smile. "Not exactly." He meowed softly, relaxing back into his original stance, but making sure not to look Catnipcloud in the eyes. Stormywind shifted uneasily before glancing around the clearing, desperately trying to come up with something to say. "I guess I'm just not used to there being so many cats around. The clans don't look that big until you get them all into one clearing. Its only then you realize why territory is so important." The cream tabby meowed, watching the cats interact with one another.

They both appeared quite tired, despite not being a long journey, and as though they needed a holiday. Stonepaw was youthful, but his fur seemed slightly matted now; he feebily attempted to groom at them as soon as he hit the clearing, but it was to no avail since the patches didn't budge from his pelt. Gingercoat, a once-pretty golden-colored she-cat of WindClan looked as though death had coughed on her. She was in terrible condition, and truthfully should not have been let out to attend a Gathering. The she-cat had patches of fur gone, of which she constantly kept itching to the point that they would begin to bleed. Despite her unconventional physical appearance, she had a terrible hacking cough to accompany it. She kept appologizing to cats she had been around when she would start a bit, but that didn't help anything at all.
Both cats entered the clearing, Stonepaw keeping an eye on Gingercoat, and they both sat down near a shadowy side as if to hide themselves and their unfortunate conditions. Stonepaw looked out at the other Clan cats, which many RiverClan cats appeared speechless, with his large, round blue eyes. He offered a short smile, as if to suggest that everything was okay with WindClan - but that was obviously not the case. He continued to sit there, trying to groom Gingercoat's fur for her, as they both sat in silence.

"Good, you?" Midnightstar meowed to Jadestar. She looked around, wondering where ShadowClan and WindClan were. "Should we start?" The ThunderClan leader asked. She leaped on the Great Rock, turned, and sat, looking at all of the cats. Quite interesting- the fact that these cats are so willing to be around so many others. I've always hated sitting up here- talking in front of just about all of the cats in the Clans, though I've become used to it and ignore the stares... It's just so annoying- too many cats. Midnightstar thought. The she-cat had grown up as a cat that didn't like being around a bunch of other cats, so that's just... How she is.

She sat next to her, breathing in the forestry scents around. Her wide, yellow eyes blinked in a few times as she noticed a few ThunderClan cats conversing. She scoffed lightly, to herself of course, and turned her attention back to the clearing. Her eyes went wide for a second later, noticing the arrival of two WindClan cats. They appeared emaciated - loss of fur on random parts of their bodies, terrible coughs accompanying their condition, and she swore she could see the young silver one's bones at the angle. She gave Tawnywing a look, flicking her tail at the cats. "Look what the dog drug in," she meowed hotly, never a fan of WindClan cats. "They look like ghosts," she meowed to her sister, eyes never leaving Stonepaw or Gingercoat for a moment. "I certainly hope their leader's in better condition - and that she gets here soon," she meowed again, a bit impatient. - Gentleheart glanced up at the WindClan cats who had arrived, a look of horror on her face. They looked terrible, as if something had been eating them alive. She was tempted to go and have a chat with them, but her natural instincts told her to avoid them and whatever they had. She certainly didn't want to catch anything too terrible and end up looking like that, no disrespect of course. Her gaze flickered uneasily as she watched her sister approach them. - Jadestar had never seen such ill-looking cats at a Gathering. The RiverClan leader suddenly grew a tad bit fearful, wondering how ShadowClan and WindClan had been doing. She had been so obsessed over her Clan's own plans and issues that she had not acknowledged how the other Clans had been handling Leaf-fall thus far. She made her way over to Stonepaw, dipping her head respectfully at the tomcat. "How have you been, young cat?" she meowed to him lightly, trying her best to sound cheerful and nonchalant, but her wandering eyes gave away her intentions. Stonepaw stared back at her for a moment with his large, round eyes, before offering her a slight smile. "Oh, we've been doing alright," he meowed to her - obviously a lie. Jadestar gave him a look, but decided not to pursue her interest any further. She didn't want to single out the apprentice and make him feel uncomfortable. She stepped away toward Midnightstar, deciding to save her questions for Bluestar. Giving the ThunderClan leader a dip of respect, she jumped onto the Great Rock as well. "Let us wait a bit longer for Bluestar and Crimsonstar to appear; if they're not here by the time the moon is at its peak, then I suppose we shall start without them," she meowed, a hint of pain in her voice. She rested herself on the Great Rock, slightly groomed her forepaws as she awaited to see if the WindClan or ShadowClan leader would make a scene. | [atrb=style, background: #A7EF6D;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 20px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] C A T S O F R I V E R CL A N [/style][/style] | [atrb=style, background: #CFEF6D;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 5px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] [/style][/style] | table layout design made by minty |

Jasperpaw, the Abyssian Cat, trotted into the slope with a timid expression. His golden brown eyes glistened innocently, as he looked up at the leaders. What would they think of his tardiness? Jaspy looked down at his rusty paws, scolding himself in the process. He smiled nervously, trying to remain invisible to the watchful eyes of the other forest cats. Now, all he had to do was find a feline to talk to. |

Swansong Medicine Cat of WindClan Swansong was exhausted. She has been up taking care of all the sick cats but there was just nothing she could do! There were just too many of them! Almost every cat in the clan seemed to be sick and only the more healthy ones went to the gathering this moon. Even Brightsky had to stay back, much to the senior warrior's distaste. The brown tom was a regular at the gathering because he generally got along with all the clans and he was a source of comfort to the cats who were coming to the gathering for the first time. His old wisdom and easy going nature made it so he could relax his fellow clan mates. It disturbed all the clan deeply when such a strong steady tom fell under this unknown disease. She had wished she was allowed to stay with the sick cats, but it would be a sign of weakness if the WindClan medicine cat did not come to the gathering. So with as much dignity and strength as she could manage, Swansong strode into the clearing, ignoring all the other cats and headed straight to Stonepaw and Gingercoat. She nodded her head to the two of them and purposefully put her body between them and Jadestar. "Good evening, Gingercoat, Stonepaw." She greeted casually, twitching her ears in greeting,
The white she cat turned her bright eyes to the smaller of the two and smiled gently. "Are you excited for the gathering, Stonepaw?" She asked curiously. Burntpaw Apprentice of ShadowClan Burntpaw bounded into the clearing after a white she cat she didn't recognized and took a moment to observe all the cats in the clearing. Before the gathering she was a nervous wreck. The only thoughts running through her head were how others would react to her scars. Despite being an apprentice for four moons, this was her first gathering. She had avoided the other four gatherings with some excuse or another, but this time RedCloud had put his paw down. there was no way she was missing yet another gathering. Now that she stood by the gathering, she didn't regret it. Insecure thoughts had flown out of her head and possibilities of meeting new cats and learning had taken over and she felt ready for the gathering.
Bounding from foot to foot, Burntpaw approached a ginger tabby tom with yellow eyes, he smelt strongly of ThunderClan. She waved her tail high in greeting and sat down a few paw steps away from him.
"Hi!" She chirped cheerfully her own blue eyes twinkling warmly. "My name's Burntpaw! What's your name?" She asked curiously, tilting her head to the side.
Tawnywing watched the WindClan cats along with her sister, a pitying frown on her face. She flicked her tail at Dappledcoat, the frown deepening. "Dappledcoat!" She hissed half-heartedly. "Don't say something like that!" But half agreed with Dappledcoat. If those cats were sick she wanted out of here the sooner the better. The last thing she needed was for Sourkit or Goldenkit to get sick. Tawnywing shook her fur, and made a mental note to take a nice long bath before she went back to Sourkit.
"At least their medicine cat looks alright." She meowed softly, pointing with her tail at Swansong, who looked healthy but exhausted. another pang of pity went through Tawnywing. Poor Swansong must be so busy dealing with all the sick cats. ((OOC: Burntpaw approaches Burningpaw! This will be interesting! And Swansong is so tired and that means she will have a short temper tonight, cats beware!))

Patchclaw proudly bounded towards the great and beautiful oaks, the smell of changing leaves as the moon slowly shone in the sky, she stopped and looked at the cats around here, ' This shalt be interesting!' she thought excitedly and, clearing a path with her paw, sat down in a neat bundle, licking her fur and sitting a bit straighter. Patchclaw wondered if she'd ever be on one of those branches one day, ' Only time will tell,' she told herself slitting her eyes to see fourtrees better and chuckled, ' I wonder where Stonepaw has gone,' she thought angling her ears towards the clearing entrances and watched as her fellow scents and clanmates intertwined with the stench of the other clan cats. She purred and hoped someone would come by to greet her.
Crinklefox sat down as she watched the young cats leave for the gathering, "Bring me back news of the night!" she called, the sunset weening and soon, her rusty bones colliding with the soft ground of her den, looked around at the empty nests in which the other elders once slept and she sighed, letting her head fall to her paws and her belly relax onto the mucky, Shadowclan equipped ground and instantly, fell asleep, ' I hope to someone keeping me company at least!' she thought angrily.
Havenheart bounded into the clearing cheerfuly, thinking of the small kit, Goldenkit, being rescued and him curled up made her purr. She'd not gone to many gatherings before so she made the most of becoming friends with the other clan cats. She flicked her ear in annoyance as she tried hard to remember the other cats names and her purr faded when the loud chatter and gossip of cats all around got to her head but quickly dismissed it. She watched the 4 leaders as she walked by, admiring their being regal and accidently stepped on a cats tail and yowled in fear but, lowered her hackles to see it was just another cat and said, licking their shoulder, " S- sorry," She said.

He hadn't paid attention to which other cats had been selected, partially because he was so excited to be selected himself and partially because he had been too busy trying to fix up his sickly-looking fur. His ears perked as the she-cat cut in front of Jadestar, a smile appearing on his maw. Despite his current health, the apprentice appeared spritely and almost bounced off his paws at Swansong. "Of course!" he meowed, perhaps a bit too loud for his own good as it echoed through the clearing. Shrinking back a bit, slightly embarrassed at his enthusiasm, he offered Swansong a lovely, childish grin showing his contentment. Noticing Patchclaw finally arrive in the clearing, Stonepaw gave a final bow to Swansong before bounding off after his mentor. "Patchclaw!" he yowled, slightly tripping over his paws, as he made his way to the deputy. His eyes were partially hollow now that he was ill, but they still shone his youthful pride. Giving his mangled-looking pelt a few licks, he let out a purr in front of Patchclaw. "This is so exciting, isn't it Patchclaw? It's my first Gathering! Jadestar even spoke to me for a moment - she's a bit strange though, not sure if I would trust her. She's got a weird face," he meowed, as honest as a kit, as he gleamed up at his mentor. - Gingercoat watched the small apprentice wander off, and she heaved a slight sigh. She really should have stayed back with Brightsky and the others. The she-cat wasn't old, but she was clearly stubborn. She demanded the chance to go, despite her sudden illness. Seeing Swansong, she waddled over to the she-cat, giving her own pelt a quick licking so it didn't look as disheveled. "Swansong, dear, do you happen to have any poppyseeds with you? I've been having a terrible pain on my side since we got here," she meowed to the medicine cat, but softly so the other Clans wouldn't suspect anything. | [atrb=style, background: #95A2CF;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 20px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] C A T S O F W I N D CL A N [/style][/style] | [atrb=style, background: #747EA2;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 5px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] [/style][/style] | table layout design made by minty |

Dappledcoat replied back to her sister, rather shortly. Her tail flicked back and forth impatiently. The dark calico she-cat was quite feisty, impatient, and a bit too straightforward with her words sometimes; she would, of course, never admit such a thing. Dappledcoat gave another short sigh as she noticed two leaders were already up on the Great Rock. Several ShadowClan cats had arrived, along with several more WindClanners. "It's about time," she hissed under her breath, anticipation ebbing at her paws that were now digging into the bare earth. "What do they think they are - fashionably late?" she meowed, rolling her eyes. She rested herself now, feeling quite pleased with all she had said, and curled her tail around her forepaws. Her bright amber eyes watched over the clearing as cats gathered and things began to get underway. - The cat who's tail had been tread upon was Gentleheart, the RiverClan leader's sister. She let out a loud yowl, taken aback by her flighty tail being stepped upon. She turned around to scowl at the cat, but her expression softened as she realized who it had been. "Oh, Havenheart," she meowed, a tad bit surprised (not to mention, flabbergasted). "I've been meaning to ask you - how has Goldenkit been doing? I haven't been free to visit the nursery yet. I'm sure he's grown quite a bit," she meowed with a smile at her friend, curling her tail back around her forepaws. | [atrb=style, background: #A7EF6D;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 20px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] C A T S O F R I V E R CL A N [/style][/style] | [atrb=style, background: #CFEF6D;border: 0px;][atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, border: solid #FFFFFF 0px; width: 300px; height: 5px; float: center; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; padding-bottom: 0px; padding-top: 0px;] [/style][/style] | table layout design made by minty |
